First of all, I apologize for not knowing what to title these threads. In times of late I've not been very articulate. So... I'll propose my idea for this thing. 1. A council that does executive stuff 2. A parliament-ish thing of 2 or 3 different houses 3. A judicial branch 4. Other little government agencies.
Seeing as we probably won't have very many people to begin with, most of the people here will probably be involved in the government. I'd suggest that each person in the council represent a different agency within the government. Either that or the members of the council would be elected officials from different political parties. The parliament would be composed of elected officials that represent different groups or socioeconomic classes. Each house would be equal in power. The judicial branch would have judges appointed by the council or parliament. It is also possible that the council members be chosen by the representatives in parliament. The other government agencies would be dedicated to things like economics, communication, or transportation. Or perhaps it would be better to devote the agencies to things that are more applicable in the internet environment. I'd like to hear your input though.

So how big of a council are we talking about? We also need to figure out how to hold the elections, i.e. indirect/direct democracy.

I'm thinking of a council of 8-16 people, or however many agencies the government has. I feel like it could be easier for a smaller group of people to come to an accord. As for elections, I think the legislative branch and judicial branch should approve of the council. Those people would be elected by the public though. I think the legislative elections should be mixed-member proportional elections.
